Year 2006 - 2007

Taxidermy Class Schedule
Exact days will be determined at the beginning of each session.

Spring Classes April 3 – June 23  500 hours / 12 weeks
(Additional schooling is available beyond these dates as arranged on an individual basis.)

Winter Classes January 8 – March 28  500 hours / 12 weeks

Limitations:  No more that 6 students will be accepted for any session.
   First come first served. 

Private lessons may be arranged with the instructor.

Students must make up time missed at the convenience of the instructor.
   Additional charges may be assessed to cover extra instructional time.

Class Hours:
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
1 hr. lunch
1:00 a.m. -  5:00 p.m. 

Basic Classes Include:
460 hours of instruction
245 hours extra lab time (minimum)
Videos
Reviewing Articles and Drawings
Lecture – Demonstrations and Explanations
Discussion and questions
Student practice (product production)

Students are Evaluated on:
Their ability to demonstrate and explain procedures & Final Products

Tuitions and Course Fees
The tuition for the regular course at Leonardo Taxidermy School is $4000.00.  This tuition includes supplies not required on supply list, equipment use, paints, and training. 

Full Taxidermy Course
Big Game and Bird Course     $4000.00 (12 week course)
 

Partial Course Fees
Big Game Only     $2500.00 (6 week course)
Birds Only            $1500.00 (2 week course)

All students will be expected to purchase or provide tools and supplies 
for mounts.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
Students are responsible for all specimens as well as the materials used in taxidermy procedures.  These items include, but are not limited to; forms, glass eyes, ear liners, panels, rug materials, base materials, wood materials, and shipping fees. 

Payment policy:
A $500.00 deposit is required to insure your place in a class.  The balance of $3500.00 is due by the end of the first week of class.  Supplies and cost of materials are due each Monday following the issuance during the prior week.  A price list will be made available to student but is subject to change based on supply and demand.  All fees, bills, and tuition must be paid prior to distribution of diplomas. Failure to pay or make arrangements for payment for supplies in a timely manner could result in expulsion from the program.
